Yes, it’s the end of February, and most Northerners are tired of winter by now. The joy of ice skating, sledding, and skiing has worn off (for me at least), and my Handsome Husband is sick of snow blowing in the dead of night when he gets home or at 4:45 in the morning before he goes to work (sorry, neighbors!). I crave flowers and warmth. I wish I were going to the Caribbean for the February school break.
But, I’m not.
When it’s -1 degree outside when I take the boys to school in the morning, it’s hard to believe that Easter is practically around the corner. Ash Wednesday is on Wednesday for crying out loud.
One of my favorite things to do on Easter morning is have a beautiful brunch in the dining room. I break out the fine china, the crystal, and my vintage silver plate candlesticks. I love the sparkle and beauty and manners (at least attempted) manners of it all.
I threw together this high/low table scape at a client’s house. Who doesn’t love a blue & white spring table???
I found the dishes at Home Goods, but they are current patterns you can buy direct. Links below.
And since it wouldn’t be spring or Easter without pink and green, I made up tablescapes in those hues as well!
And Macy’s is having a HUGE dinnerware sale this weekend — we’re talking up to 80% off on some items. Some of my spring dinnerware favorites below.
Happy February break, all!
